In honor of Valentine’s Day and National Brownie Day (February 10th) I created a Cherry Marbled Cheesecake Triple Chocolate Brownie that even a husband could make to please his wife.

I came up with this idea last Sunday in church. Christie, my wife, said I should be paying more attention. I said it was divine intervention. When I got home I started researching recipes. My recipe was inspired by “Parsley” on Food.com

This brownie is very easy to make using Ghiradelli Triple Chocolate Brownie Mix. We buy the industrial size box from Costco to keep on hand usually for a last-minute desserts or for the to take for a school function.

It is essential to let the brownies chill in the fridge for several hours. Christie brought these to her work today for a Valentine’s day pot luck. After we cut the brownies we placed individual servings into small cupcake cups.

I also will post an easy Valentine’s day dinner which all husbands can make for their significant other. Ladies show him the recipe and let him create a special dinner for you. But don’t let him be like me and have you clean up. Christie loves my food but dreads the mess.

WHAT TO HAVE FOR DINNER TONIGHT

It’s a good day today! Firstly, although it’s still freezing cold outside, on looking out of the window this morning I saw these little heralds of approaching Spring:

Snowdrops

They weren’t there on Saturday, so they must have popped through yesterday or overnight. It’s not too long now until it’s still light when we get home from work, and until we can step outside without the risk of flu/frostbite.

Secondly, it is now just a week until my birthday! You’d better get cracking buying my presents.

And thirdly, I have another Monday off work (I was working yesterday), and so I’m free to spend my day baking again. Yesterday, when I was working, my husband cleaned the entire house and had dinner ready for me when I got in, so I’m repaying the favour by cooking something I know he loves.
